Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Kept uses as few as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let advertisers track you on our site.

Cookies we use

Type	What it does	How long
Sign-in	Keeps you logged in, and proves requests really come from you.	Until you log out, or up to 14 days if you chose to stay signed in.
Security	Protects forms from abuse and checks that your session is valid.	The session, or a day.
Preferences	Remembers small choices, like a dismissed notice.	Up to a year.

These are all strictly necessary for the site and the app to work, so they do not need consent. You can still block them in your browser, but logging in will stop working.

Things that are not cookies, but you should know about

• Fonts. Our fonts load from a font delivery service. Your browser sends it your IP address in order to receive the files. It does not set cookies.
• Payments. When you add a card, the payment form is provided by Stripe, which may use its own cookies to prevent fraud. Those are covered by Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Local storage. The app may store small bits of data on your device, like a draft message, so it works smoothly. It never leaves your device unless you send it.

Analytics

If we add analytics to understand how the site is used, we will choose a tool that does not track you across other sites, list it here, and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you see and delete cookies in its settings. Deleting sign-in cookies logs you out.
