Kept helps you find people to do things with. You discover plans that fit what you love, join with a small refundable hold, show up, and keep the memories with the people who were there. Hosts and venues create the plans.

Open a plan, tap “I’m in”, and confirm the hold on your card. You get the exact spot, the plan chat and the details straight away.

We open city by city. The cities page shows where we are live and where we are opening next. If your city is not there yet, join the waitlist and you will hear the day it opens.

18 or older. Some plans, like bar nights and tastings, are 21 and over, and the venue will check ID at the door.

Joining is free. Most plans only ask for a refundable hold, which comes back when you show up. Paid plans, like a court fee or a dinner, show the price up front, and you pay it when the plan happens. Kept Plus is optional.

Yes, and most people do at first. Every plan is built for people who have not met. Hosts start with introductions, and you will know first names before you arrive.

No. Kept runs in the browser on your phone or computer. There is nothing to install.

No. It is a hold, sometimes called a pending authorization. Your bank sets the amount aside, but no money moves. When you show up and check in, the hold is released.

Because free signups attract a lot of maybes. A small amount you get back turns a maybe into a yes. The only people who lose it are the ones who leave the group waiting. Read the thinking behind it.

Most plans ask for $10. Each activity has a suggested amount, smaller for a coffee and larger for a camping trip, and every plan shows its hold before you commit.

Yes. Trusted people commit half the usual hold. People with a pattern of no-shows commit double. How reliability works.

When a hold is kept, 50% goes to the host, because their court or table was booked for you, and 50% goes to Kept. Nobody earns anything when you show up, and that is how it should be.

Yes. With a debit card, the hold can lower your available balance until it is released. If that is a problem, use a credit card.

Cancel 24 or more hours before and the hold is released in full. Inside 24 hours, 50% is kept, unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot. Then you get it all back.

The hold is kept. Your spot was saved for you and someone else missed out on it. It also counts in your Kept rate. One miss does not define you, and your rate recovers as you keep plans.

When a plan is full you can join its waitlist. If a spot opens, the next person gets it and commits then. If you cancel late and a waitlist person takes your spot, your whole hold comes back.

Every hold is released automatically and you get a message straight away. The same happens if the weather cancels the plan or it does not reach its minimum.

Say so in the plan chat. Check-in stays open for a while after the start time. If you cannot make it at all, cancel as early as you can; it helps the person on the waitlist.

When you arrive, open the plan and tap “You’re here.” Most hosts show a code to scan; some plans use your location instead. Checking in is what releases your hold.

Yes, if the plan has room. Send an invite from the plan. Your friend joins with their own hold, and you both show up on the list. More about invites.

Anyone 18 or over with a verified account. Your first three plans must be in public places, with 12 people or fewer. After that, hosting opens up as you build a track record.

Yes, on paid plans. You set a host fee on top of costs like a court or lanes. Payouts arrive after the plan, through Stripe. Free plans with only a hold are free for everyone, host included.

The hold. When someone does not show, 50% of their hold goes to you, because you booked the court or the table for them. And because everyone committed, no-shows are rare.

The fewest people a plan needs to work, like ten for soccer. If it does not fill by the cutoff, the plan closes and every hold is released automatically. Nobody shows up to half a game.

Cancel from the plan and every hold is released automatically. Cancelling often or late affects your host standing, so if you must cancel, do it early.

A lower platform fee (5% instead of 10%), recurring plans and clubs, co-hosts, custom deposit rules, host analytics, messages to past guests, and first-timer credits. It is $9.99 a month or $89 a year.

It brings committed groups on the nights you want to fill. You or a host post a plan at your place, people commit with a hold, and they show up.

Customers acquired this month, repeat rate, check-in lists and an opt-in customer list. People choose whether to share their details with you; nobody is added without saying yes.

Yes, for $5 a day. Promoted plans are always labelled “Promoted”, so people know what they are looking at.

$49 a month or $490 a year. It includes a venue profile, venue plans, the customer dashboard, check-in lists, CSV export and multiple staff accounts.

We build for it. Plans happen in public places, new hosts must start there, the exact address goes only to people who joined, and every plan has a safety button. Trust your gut: you can leave any plan, any time.

It is in every plan. One tap offers to call emergency services and alerts our team with the plan details. Use it for anything from feeling unsafe to a medical problem.

From their name in any plan, or from the plan itself. A person on our team reviews every report. You can also block someone so you never see each other’s plans.

Nobody, by default. Plans show an area, not an address. “Where the group is” is optional, only works during a plan, and only shows to people in that plan.

Verification comes in levels. Everyone confirms their email. Hosts verify more before they can run bigger plans or plans at home. The levels are listed on the safety page.

No. Kept is for doing things with people. There are no swipes, no photo grids and no gender filters. You meet people through a plan, in a group, doing something you both like.

No. We never sell your personal data. The privacy policy says what we collect and why, in plain words.

Yes. Turn off “People you might enjoy” in settings. You can also limit your activity history to people you have been on plans with.

From settings, or by emailing support@keptplans.com. We delete your account and personal data, except records we must keep for payments and safety, as the privacy policy explains.

Nobody. We ask for your birth year only to confirm you are 18 or older, and to show you 21+ plans once you are 21.

Your first name and last initial, a photo if you add one, and your Kept rate. People you have been on plans with can see which plans you did together.

Plan updates, receipts and safety messages. The monthly newsletter is opt-in, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Holds are placed when you commit and released when you show up. For paid plans, the price is charged when the plan happens.

On paid plans it is 10% of the price, with a $2 minimum, or 5% when the host has Host Pro. Kept Plus members pay no platform fee. Plans with only a hold carry no fee at all.

Yes. The price covers the thing itself, like a court or a dinner seat, and it was held for you. If the host cancels, you pay nothing.

After the plan, through Stripe, to the bank account you connect. Exact timing depends on Stripe and your bank.

Holds are released, not refunded, because the money never moved. If you paid for a plan and the host cancels, that payment is refunded to your card. The deposit and refund policy has every case.

Any time. It runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
