What a good talks and science plan looks like
There is a topic, a time box, and somebody who knows enough to get newcomers going in ten minutes. No experience needed, nothing to prove. Most plans land between 3 and 20 people: enough energy, still easy to learn names.
Tip for your first one: bring a question. It is the easiest way to start talking with people you just met.

We open a city when enough people and hosts are ready, so the first plans are full ones. Leave your email and city and we will tell you the day it opens.
Talks and science questions
Do I need to be good at talks and science?
No. There are no levels for talks and science. People come for the company as much as the thing itself.
What does the $5 commitment do?
It is a hold on your card, not a charge. Show up and it is released. Cancel 24+ hours before and it is released in full. Cancel later and 50% is kept, unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot. If you do not show up, it is kept.
What if the host cancels?
Every hold is released automatically, and you get a message straight away. The same happens if the plan does not reach its minimum number of people.
Love talks and science? Host it.
Pick a topic, a format and a time box. People commit more easily to ninety minutes than to an open evening. Suggested hold: $5.
