Small tables instead of a crowd, a round of real introductions, and no pitching unless somebody asks. No experience needed, nothing to prove. Most plans land between 3 and 15 people: enough energy, still easy to learn names.
Tip for your first one: bring one sentence about what you do and one question you want answered. That is all the preparation you need.

Do I need to be good at coworking?
No. There are no levels for coworking. People come for the company as much as the thing itself.
What does the $5 commitment do?
It is a hold on your card, not a charge. Show up and it is released. Cancel 24+ hours before and it is released in full. Cancel later and 50% is kept, unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot. If you do not show up, it is kept.
What if the host cancels?
Every hold is released automatically, and you get a message straight away. The same happens if the plan does not reach its minimum number of people.
Love coworking? Host it.
Keep it small, give it a theme, and do the introductions yourself so nobody has to work the room. Suggested hold: $5.
