Picnic

A park, a blanket, a pile of snacks. The simplest good afternoon.

  • 4 to 15 people
  • $5 commitment
  • Low-key
  • Weather matters

How a good one runs

What a good picnic plan looks like

The table is booked before anyone commits, the price range is in the plan, and everyone pays for what they order. The exact meeting spot goes to people who joined, and the host keeps an eye on the forecast. No experience needed, nothing to prove. Most plans land between 4 and 15 people: enough energy, still easy to learn names.

Tip for your first one: check the price range before you commit. The hold is separate from what you eat, and it comes back when you show up.

Picnic questions

All help topics

Do I need to be good at picnic?

No. There are no levels for picnic. People come for the company as much as the thing itself.

What does the $5 commitment do?

It is a hold on your card, not a charge. Show up and it is released. Cancel 24+ hours before and it is released in full. Cancel later and 50% is kept, unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot. If you do not show up, it is kept.

What happens if the weather turns?

The host makes the call. If they cancel for weather, the plan closes and every hold is released automatically. You do not need to do anything.

Love picnic? Host it.

Book the table first, then post the plan with the real price range, so people commit knowing roughly what the bill looks like. Suggested hold: $5.
