How a good one runs

What a good tasting plan looks like

The table is booked before anyone commits, the price range is in the plan, and everyone pays for what they order. Somebody who knows the ropes takes a few minutes to get newcomers going. Introductions come first, so nobody is left at the edge of the group. Most plans land between 4 and 12 people: enough energy, still easy to learn names.

Tip for your first one: check the price range before you commit. The hold is separate from what you eat, and it comes back when you show up.

Tasting questions

All help topics

Do I need to be good at tasting?

No. There are no levels for tasting. People come for the company as much as the thing itself.

What does the $15 commitment do?

It is a hold on your card, not a charge. Show up and it is released. Cancel 24+ hours before and it is released in full. Cancel later and 50% is kept, unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot. If you do not show up, it is kept.

What if the host cancels?

Every hold is released automatically, and you get a message straight away. The same happens if the plan does not reach its minimum number of people.

Why is it 21 and over?

Because the plan is built around alcohol. Only people 21 and over can join, and the venue will check ID at the door.

Love tasting? Host it.

Book the table first, then post the plan with the real price range, so people commit knowing roughly what the bill looks like. Suggested hold: $15.
